Although the Grammy Awards are officially over and done with, the world is still talking about some of the event's more notable style choices. In addition to Madonna's weird grill and Pharrell's funny hat, everyone is weighing in on Beyoncé's bodacious white dress, which happened to be designed by an LA-based Project Runway alum.

According to E!, Bey's stylist Ty Hunter discovered Michael Costello via—where else?—social media. "Michael ended up being an Instagram follower of mine," Hunter explains. "I followed him back, and his designs were beautiful."

Pret-a-Porter adds that Hunter only came into the designer's studio a week prior. "Let me tell you, when he was set to come in, we mopped that floor, bought new mannequins, got a chandelier!" Costello reveals. While one would assume that Bey only wears custom, Pret notes that her stylist saw the already produced dress at the studio and instantly knew it was the one, uttering, "Yes, this is the moment."

Now, this is Costello's moment. A longtime veteran of the LA fashion scene, we first discovered his work back in 2010 during LAFW, where we learned that the whiz kid was dubbed 'too qualified' for FIDM and is entirely self-taught. Longtime fans include It girls like Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, and songstresses like Celine Dion and Toni Braxton. His bio notes that he made his first couture collection at only 14 years old and is involved in a variety of charities, including Pennies for Homeless.

What's next for Michael? Besides racking up tons of new requests and Instagram followers, he's busy prepping his eighth New York Fashion Week show, which will be held at the Helen Mills Event Space on February 8th. We're definitely keeping an eye on this one.
