Downtown definitely knows how to play the A-game (Acne, Ace, A.P.C., the list goes on). As mentioned previously, the historical theater district's getting all artisanal with the addition of Portland-based accessories brand (and Ace collaborator) Tanner Goods, which is slated to take over legendary LA photog Gary Leonard's gallery at 9th and Broadway. As the leather label revealed yesterday, they're loading up their Downtown-bound moving trucks with merch and more for their City of Angels flagship—and we hear it's expected to open in mid-February.
Known for their handcrafted luxe leather bags, belts, home goods and more, Tanner Goods is also operated by the same folks as stylish lumberjack-y apparel shop Woodlands, which stocks heritage brands like Norse Projects, Gitman Bros, Golden Bear and LA's own Rogue Territory, among others. No word yet if the DTLA outpost will stock clothing Update 1/17: Clothing will indeed be stocked! Stay tuned for more.
