Popkiller Invades Little Tokyo Again with Concept Shop POP

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If ridiculously cute brand Sanrio had a baby with the legendary '70s punk band Sex Pistols (try not to picture that), we imagine it would look a lot like Popkiller, only with more smiles and fewer sneers. The beloved J-Pop boutique—whose legendary Sunset Blvd store just toasted 10 years in LA—has invaded Little Tokyo once again with its concept shop POP, just 23 steps from their second space at the Japanese Village Plaza.

Designed with a record store vibe in mind, the new store offers unique graphic tees, tanks and more from local artists like Meggie Micole and Kii Arens, cheeky streetwear brand In Heroes We Trust and menswear label Wolf & Man. In addition to stocking their in-house apparel label, POP also carries a selection of cute accessories, home goods and knick-knacks. After the jump, see more photos and store hours.

Pop is open Sundays through Thursdays from 12pm to 10pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 12pm to 11pm.
