Miss Golden Globe 2014 Loves LA's Rebecca Minkoff, Black Halo

Yesterday, we stopped by The Beverly Hilton to brunch with this year's Miss Golden Globe, Sosie Bacon. Sporting a striped jumpsuit by LA label Black Halo, Kevin Bacon and Kira Sedgwick's daughter seemed far less nervous than we'd be if we were going to be watched by millions of people in just a few days. The Los Feliz-based actress and frequent Instagrammer was totally chill, offering us insight on where she likes to shop, what she does to stay fit and how her famous 'rents are helping her prepare.

We're dying to know: have you picked your dress?
"Yes, I have! I can't tell you anything about it, but it's beautiful. I'll only be wearing one look for the night."

Come on! What about the shoes or accessories?
"I can't say anything, not even a teaser. I'll get in trouble!"

Fine. Are you doing any health or fitness prep for the big night?
"I'm trying to do a little bit of juicing, but it's difficult for me. I'm just eating clean. Can you pass me that truffle?" (Laughs)

Did your parents give you any prepping pointers?
"I've watched my mom get ready for the Globes and other awards shows so many times, so I'm used to it. She tries to stay calm, plays music. I'm excited for it to be me that's getting ready this time! I've been walking in heels lately and am finally getting used to it. I'm really trying!"

What are some of your favorite movies that feature your parents?
It's funny, but I don't want many of their movies because when I was little they were kind of inappropriate. Lots of sexy and drugs and rock-n-roll, so I really didn't want to watch them because that would be weird! But now I'm kind of going back and watching a little bit. I just saw Diner, which was incredible. I saw Singles a few years ago when I was going through a '90s phase."

What are you most excited about Sunday?
"I'm excited to see the night's hosts, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey and just watch them on stage. I'm also excited to eat a lot at the after-party!"

Have you met Amy and Tina before?
"I first met Amy when I was sitting next to her at the SAG Awards when I was like 16 or 17. She was awesome. I wasn't sure that I wanted to go, but then when I saw that I was sitting next to Amy Poehler I was like, 'This is so cool!'"

As a Los Felizian, what do you dig most about LA?
"I love the weather and the fact that you can go to the beach and then go hiking in the mountains—that's my favorite thing. I'm a nature girl, so living in New York would make me go a little crazy. I was born in a very rural town in Connecticut, so it's very different."

Where do you shop most in LA?
"There's this place called Confederacy that had a Rebecca Minkoff store in it. I think it's just Rebecca Minkoff now. I always find something I like there because the clothes are gorgeous. I just got this dress there that I love!"
