Do you dig the desert, DIY and spending quality time with the fam, sans all the distracting digital devices? If you couldn't get enough of events like the Renegade Craft Fair, prep yourself for the Crafting Community's takeover of Palm Springs, where creative parents and kids can treat themselves to a weekend packed with designer-led art projects, recreational activities and more at the swanky Ace Hotel & Swim Club next month.
Happening from Friday, October 4th to Sunday, October 6th, the three-day event features workshops led by LA's top talent, including handbag designer Clare Vivier, textile designer Rachel Craven and furniture maker Tanya Aguiñiga. In addition, families can customize their own gear with clothing brand Splendid, partake in events like one-on-one skateboard lessons and game night under the stars (complete with s'mores!) and dance the night away to the sounds of DJ Muggs (yes, of Cypress Hill fame) on the decks.
Ready to shell out the dough for the ultimate DIY desert excursion? Ticket prices for families of three start at $1,500 for a standard king room (add $250 for each additional guest over the age of two). The all-inclusive package covers accommodations, food and all workshops and activities, plus unlimited pool access and a bevy of top-notch perks like bicycle rentals, free yoga and more.
