Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you're on the hunt for our city's next big shopping stretch, look no further than DTLA's South Broadway. On its way to becoming the Eastside's answer to Melrose (west of Fairfax), 9th and Broadway will see tons of action late 2013/early 2014, thanks to highly-anticipated openings from Swedish retailer Acne, cool-kid quarters Ace Hotel and Aussie apothecary Aesop.
More on that Aesop launch: Racked friend Brigham Yen reveals that the skincare haven's 1,000-square-foot digs will be located in the pretty art deco building at the aforementioned bustling intersection. It will be joined by Portland apparel shop Tanner Goods, offering future Ace guests some choice retail therapy. Both locations are set to open early next year.
There's also that huge Urban Outfitters coming to Rialto Theatre. Which Broadway opening are you most excited for?
