Dax, or "Daxie" as some call him, is not your average Yorkshire Terrier with his blonde locks and chubby silhouette. At nine and a half years young he takes his role as male protector at the Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent Showroom very seriously. The miniature pooch, who stands at the glass window of the fourth floor space barking at men as they pass by, also has a little inner-office romance with a Cocker Spaniel named Stella, but according to his guardian and E-Commerce Manager Shelby Brune, his game of hard-to-get is not working for him.
Dax spends most of his time on-the-clock staring at the treat drawer and resting in Brune's personal space. "His favorite place to take naps is on my desk in the most inconvenient places possible," she said of his willingness to settle down right on top of the mousepad. He gets along well with the entire Cynthia Vincent team (mainly because they are all ladies) and loves to walk down to the studio to visit the designer. Other favorite pastimes include hanging out under Brune's desk, napping in her handbag and visits from the UPS guy and mailman.
The DTLA Showroom, which hold the Ready-to-Wear line, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent and Cynthia Vincent shoes and handbags holds a sample sale two or three times a year where Dax loves to wonder around and visit with customers. One thing he can also add to his personality resume is brand loyalty. "Every time our intern comes to work in Rag & Bone booties he will go after her feet," Brune explained. "He would rather her wear Cynthia Vincent booties, of course!"
