Is Made-in-LA the new Made-in-America? Los Angeles Confidential surveys the recent surge of locally-produced items, starting with Tommy Hilfiger's latest shoe collab with George Esquivel. The capsule features men's and women's brogues and loafers that were all handcrafted at the LA footwear denizen's SoCal atelier. Other LA-made advocates include Joie, who recently rolled out a homegrown denim line, and Kelly Wearstler, who explains that "the close proximity allows me to personally oversee every aspect of production. Attention to detail infuses the work with a sense of soul." [LAC; Previously]
