When boho chic shoe makers Matisse tapped Long Beach-based blogger Laura Wiertzema for a footwear collab, it was a match made in heaven. Known for showcasing her hippie-meets-SoCal-skater style on her blog, Ascot Friday, the Pressed Juicery-loving, flea market-obsessed Wiertzema immediately accepted the challenge because, of course, "What girl would say no to designing her own shoes?"
The result? A vintage-inspired collection infused with the laid-back blogger's edgy cool vibes. Priced from $72 to $139, the line ranges from a leather buckle ankle boot to a studded cut-out snakeskin set to coral-colored leopard sneakers. "I can see myself wearing each pair with my denim cutoffs and a vintage tee, or wearing them with a pair of denim and a sweater," Wiertzema tells us.
Lovin' it all? The line's set to launch in January at LF stores and LBC's Prism Boutique, plus online at Nordstrom.
