If you take your equestrian events with a good glass of bubbly and a side of celeb sightings, then start prepping your best Kentucky Derby-worthy headwear and rule-breaking post-Labor Day whites. Next month, join the flock of LA's fashion fixtures and sports buffs for the 4th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at the poshest park in the Pacific Palisades.
The grand affair is going down Saturday, October 4th at Will Rogers State Historic Park, where Argentinian pro polo player Nacho Figueras will host the big event with his wife Delfina Blaquier and the legendary champagne house's president, Vanessa Kay. Much like past matches, expect to see plenty of dapperly-dressed style stars like celeb stylist/designer Rachel Zoe, a former The Hills cast member or two and more A-listers than can fit beneath a yellow parasol.
Plus, for the first time ever, high-rolling spectators can score prime seats at the event's shaded Clicquot Picnic area. In addition to offering VIP views of the match, picnic tables for four include a gourmet four-course lunch, two bottles of Veuve Clicquot Yellow label and plenty of other goodies. Front-row plots will run you $1,800 per table, second-row spots are $1,400 and third-row tables are $1,200.
Want in? General admission tickets go on sale online today for $50 a pop, so lift your pinky in support of your local state park (a portion of proceeds benefits the venue) and nab your spot on the grassy green here.
