Buster at Core Club LA Is the Downward Dog Master

In honor of our second-annual LA's Hottest Trainer competition, this week's cute sidekick comes straight from Core Club LA, Eagle Rock's modern yoga studio. Owner and core body instructor, Gabrielle Benoit, adopted Buster four years ago when her friends were fostering him, "He was the perfect dog for us," she said.

Five-year-old Buster, who might be the best-looking mutt in town, is likely a schnauzer mix and began going to work with Benoit after a small bout of doggie depression, "He's a big part of my everyday life," she explained. "When I opened the studio a little over a year ago all of the sudden I was never home." His natural happiness quickly returned when the fitness maven began taking him to Core Club with her on the days when she is not teaching, "Buster loves yoga mats! If he is around during a class he will be underneath everyone during down dog."

The pup's favorite thing to do in the morning is run up and down the studio's hallway a few times at full speed and because there is no traction on the wood floor, Buster slides to a stop, making him the perfect cleaning product. He gets along great with the other instructors and customers, "He feels like a sports team mascot doing the rounds and collecting high fives," Benoit tells Racked. This fitness dog may start his days with the in-studio run but his favorite place to end them is at nearby eatery The Oinkster. As for that man's best friend myth, Buster's best friend is Nixon of Leanna Lin's Wonderland. Aww!
