Welcome to Racked LA's search for Los Angeles' hottest trainer. Over the coming weeks, we'll profile sixteen smoking candidates who work at local gyms and studios. (Not only do they look hot in spandex, but if you take their classes, you might someday look nearly as good.) Then, once you've gotten to know everyone, we'll host a March Madness-style showdown in which you get to vote for your favorite. Let the games begin!

Get to know our fourth contestant, Philly Elisa of Pop Physique in Santa Monica. The fiery Cuban is known for leading body-sculpting classes powered by a killer soundtrack. She reveals her best beats at her favorite class on Monday nights: "There's such a great energy in the room! Most of my regulars are in that class and we all get to share new music with each other and catch up on what happened over the weekend."

A former employee in the corporate world, the New York expat now excels in the business of aiding others through health and fitness. "I've always been interested in the body and in posture and alignment," she adds. "I knew that [an office job] wasn't for me when I made my bosses buy us all exercise balls to sit on because I was worried that sitting at a desk all day was bad for my spinal alignment."

When she's not body-sculpting her many loyal clients and "pushing them past their comfort zones," you can catch Elisa eating weird food combinations. "My mom is Cuban so I grew up eating bananas and cheese. People think it's gross together but it actually tastes really good, at least to me!"
