Rodarte sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy sat down with Vanity Fair West Coast editor Krista Smith to discuss how they transitioned from UC Berkeley students to Hollywood's top design stars. What we learned: Kate's hero is Albert Einstein; Laura's idea of perfect happiness is hanging with friends; Kate's happy place is Stanley Kubrik films; they used to steal vintage Vogue magazines from school; they spent a year watching horror movies after graduating; they're not opposed to dressing Vin Diesel.
