Warby Parker's been feeling LA for a while. Following last year's pop-up readery at The Standard, Downtown LA and this year's school bus tour in Venice, the cool-kid eyewear retailer has opened its first permanent West Coast shop inside the lobby of The Standard, Hollywood.

Shielding peepers seven days a week, Warby Parker LA reels guests in with a frames-inspired mural commissioned by local artist and Standard collaborator Geoff McFetridge. (Have you seen his sweet blankets?) Shoppers are welcomed to get their read on with a curated selection of books while perusing the generous assortment of retro-inspired sunnies and opticals ranging from $95 to $150. Need a prescription? An on-site optician is available to help on a first come, first serve basis, offering customers the option to receive glasses by mail or pick up at the store.

To toast the big launch, Warby Parker hosted a wild bash last week where their Artists in Residence musicians played pop-up acts throughout the hotel. (Check out our Insta-video for a taste.) One of our favorites was Cillie Barnes, who first caught our eye last year in LA-based line Geronimo's Lana Del Rey-inspired fashion film. She took some time to chat with us before her gig by the pool.

"I have terrible eyesight, so I've been wearing Warby Parker to improve my quality of life for a couple years now," Barnes explains. "They're rad-looking and I'm a huge fan of their whole 'Buy a Pair Give a Pair' bit. So, when they asked me to come up with some songs for a compilation, I needed literally no convincing. This basically consisted of me working on songs at The Standard Hotel for four nights, which I did whilst eating delicious food and taking a bunch of long baths."

Warby Parker at The Standard, Hollywood is open Monday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm.
