Los Feliz's Co-op 28 Adds Home Decor with Apt2B

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

If you're a fan of the handmade treasures at Co-op 28 and the home decor gems at Apt 2B, prepare to get your mind blown. The latter has moved into Los Feliz's three-year-old indie mecca to offer a selection of retro-inspired couches, chairs, coffee tables, and dining sets.

Taking advantage of the recently up-for-grabs corner retail space attached to her existing boutique, Co-op 28 owner Marci Siegel jumped at the opportunity to expand. She immediately tapped Apt2B's Mat Herman, who just so happened to be ready to make his pop-up concept more permanent. "collaborate with other retailers to create the perfect setting at home. Mixing our modern flare with their Etsy-esque eclectic look, Apt2B and Co-op 28 are offering customers a great mix of home furnishings and decor," Herman explains.

The shop gave us a peek at the store's new 1,500 square feet, where we marveled over Apt2B's handmade-in-LA sofas that can be customized with your choice of fabrics under $788. If you've nabbed all that Apt2B has to offer, Co-op 28 Home also features some mid-century goodness from LA's Industrial Salvation. Stop by and check out the new digs starting tomorrow.
