When it comes to pampering, our city certainly has its share of star-approved spots and hole-in-the-wall faves, but where do the in-the-know go? Tastemakers will soon be beelining to Kure Spa, a stylish beauty sanctuary for nails, skincare, waxing and massages that just opened in Silver Lake.
Founded by Thien Ho and designed in collaboration with architect Ana Henton, the 1,800-square-foot space features a funky decor that feels nothing like the sometimes seedy environment that other primp-and-go spots offer. Swapping fake flowers for rad, neon signage that says things like "chill," Kure invites you to hang long after your services are complete. Additional interior standouts include 12 custom-designed pedicure thrones with sanitary, stainless steel sinks, a chic nail bar and airy treatment rooms.
As for the menu, services range from the Refresher that includes an oil soak, housemade sugar scrub, massage and polish ($20 mani, $25 pedi), the Geli-Kure for gel nail fiends ($40 mani, $50 pedi, $5 design add-on) to eyebrow shaping ($25) and full Brazilian waxing ($65). In addition to using all-natural products whenever possible, Kure also offers custom lotion scented with dreamy essential oils.
To celebrate the launch, Kure Spa is hooking up a sweet deal just for you. The first 25 readers to mention "Racked LA" when they call 323-668-1234 to book a pedicure service will receive a complimentary manicure! Snag your spot today and stop by Monday through Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
