Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We're not ones to complain whenever yesteryear's styles are replayed on runways and in lookbooks. (And yes, we're feeling the '90s love.) Of course, we'll jump at the chance to own the O.G. designs, so if you're like us, you'll want to head west next week to the Helms Design District Vintage Boutique, where—wait for it—everything will be under $50.
Happening Saturday, August 10th from 10am to 4pm, vintage lovers can expect a host of top-notch classic apparel and accessories dealers, including hosts Clever Vintage Clothing, Paper Moon Vintage and more. It gets better: shoppers can expect to trade a Ulysses S. Grant with the likes of Chanel and more as a bevy of designer boutiques will also be in the house, including Fashion Liz, Vintazia and Violette Vintage, to name a few.
In addition, we hear there'll be $10 and $20 racks of merch (what!), plus the Girl Scouts will be on hand to sweeten the show (literally) with America's favorite cookies. For those who fall for the perfect frock with an extra bit of wiggle room (we've all done it!), an on-site seamstress will be stationed at the event to do alternations while you shop.
Ready to score vintage treasures? Read up for some pointers from one blogger expert, then buy tickets early and score them for half off; otherwise, they're an easy $5 here.
