Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We've been singing the praises of Seafolly since 2008, when the cult-favorite Australian swimwear label first made its way to the states via retailers like Anthropologie. After admiring our city from afar for years (Aussies really do love LA, and the feeling is totally mutual), the Behati Prinsloo-approved brand has decided to open its 40th location—and first US shop!—at the Fashion Island shopping center in Newport Beach.
WWD reveals that the 1,800-square-foot store is set to debut this October. In addition to Seafolly's printastic swim separates and limited-edition pieces, the space will also carry beachy apparel and accessories. Before the launch, the brand will showcase a Palm Springs-themed collection at Miami Swim Week this month.
If C. Wonder could draw the likes of Jaime King and Jamie-Lynn Sigler to the OC for its grand opening, we're curious to see who pops up for this one.
