Big-spender brides, listen up: if you're in the midst of scanning next year's calendar for your nuptials, you may want to consider an extended engagement. Why? Vera Wang plans to unveil a massive 5,500-square-foot boutique on Rodeo Drive next January.
The designer recently had a chat with WWD and revealed the epic, two-story space will showcase bridal and ready-to-wear gowns, accessories and fragrances, plus a new shoe collection. Wang also tells the pub that high-class architect Brian Sawyer—who also revamped Wang's New York apartment—has been tapped to design the new Beverly Hills store.
So does this mean we'll be seeing Wang scouting the hills for a new abode? Absolutely not, the A-list dresser tells the fashion trade pub. Though she's been jet-setting to the West Coast over the past 24 years and already has a zen escape within the Trousdale Estates, the gown guru has no plans to settle in Los Angeles anytime soon. "I have never lived there, nor would I live there," says Wang. "I have a business to run in New York."
