Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Today kicked off the much-anticipated Equipment, Joie and Current/Elliott friends and family sale, and suffice to say there are generous deals to be had at the blowout event. Prices were slashed to 50% off already discounted tags, and there were plenty of sizes and styles to go around.
Just like past sales, no large handbags or strollers are allowed, so we recommend bringing a small wallet. There are no fitting rooms, but there are several mirrors for try-ons. In addition, parking is limited, so arrive early to score a space at the lot or expect to park on the street.
On the Current/Elliott racks, standouts included a great selection of shorts and pants for about $20, plus leather and suede bottoms for $75 (including plenty of scalloped Chloe-esque shorts). As for Equipment, we spotted lots of summer-ready sleeveless Hawaiian-print silk dresses among other great pieces. Joie merch included plenty of tops, skirts and dresses for under $20. There's also a small collection of flats, heels and wedges in sizes 37 to 39.
We expect smaller sizes to go fast and we've been told inventory won't be restocked, so head over to Vernon stat if you want to get the best picks.
