Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
From sand and surf, mountain hikes and downtown mazes, LA's got everything to offer gents of all types. If the standard duffel bag just won't do for you city dwellers and outdoor adventurers, Cali-based men's brand Sons of Trade is here to give your plain old gear a facelift.
Created by fifth-generation Californian Braden Jones, the versatile bags and accessories are inspired by "history's men of character and the gear they carried." From rugged leather messenger bags to convertible canvas knapsacks (all with plenty of pockets and brass hardware to spare), the line's designed for anyone ready to hit the road or head to the office.
We're digging that leather Rubicon Rucksack in black (very Alexander Wang, no?) and while the goods aren't yet available in stores, we can totally see SOT right at home in Silver Lake's Mohawk Man. For now, check out the full collection at SOT's website here.
