Last month, we discovered that the folks at TenOverSix were working on a big project in Beverly Hills. Bad news: it's not a new boutique, although founders Kristen Lee and Brady Cunningham do hope to open one in the luxe nabe eventually. Good news: they're designing the interior of Olive & June, a "California modern" nail salon set to open late summer.
"When I moved here from NYC about a year ago, it seemed like every nail place that did a good job was either lacking in ambiance or totally overpriced," Olive & June owner Sarah Gibson Tuttle tells us. "I felt that there was a real need for another option, so I decided to open a salon that was beautiful, accessible, results-oriented and all about the details. I am as excited about being able to keep client preferences on file as I am about everyone having a convenient place to hang their bag and keys!"
Located at 430 N Canon Dr between starry lunch spots Porta Via and La Scala, Olive & June will boast extended hours (Monday through Thursday from 8am to 9pm, Friday through Sunday from 8am to 8pm), reasonable pricing ($18 manis, $30 pedis) and a killer décor, thanks to TenOverSix's magic touch. Expect more from O&J—including NCLA nail wraps!—very soon.
