We know the idea of roga—running and yoga—sounds a little dangerous. Luckily, the two aren't done simultaneously (phew!), so break out your yoga mat and running shoes and head over to the Santa Monica Pier this Saturday for the first Roga at the Pier summer session.
Happening every Saturday from 8am to 10am, the two-part sesh starts with a brisk two- or five-mile (you pick!) run around the beach and pier. Yoga class starts at 9am at the west end of the pier in front of Mariasol, where students of all levels can do their best warrior pose to the calming sounds of crashing waves. Plus, Honest Tea will be handing out free thirst quenchers to participants.
GOOD LA will be on hand to kick off the first class of the free summer series, which runs until August 31st. Attendees are also encouraged to do their daily good by donating their used shoes and workout equipment at the non profit's booth by the pier's sign between 7:30am to 10:30am.
Ready to roga? Sign up for this Saturday's class here, and visit SaMo Pier's Facebook event page here for info on future classes.
