Things are moving fast for Downtown, especially with the latest news that Zara, Acne and Urban Outfitters are moving into the 'hood. FIGat7th (which welcomes Zara next spring) is keeping the ball rolling in DTLA with its summer festival, featuring tons of free music, art, theatre and film events now until August 2nd.
Catch a host of KCRW faves like psych-rock band Allah-Las on June 28th and experimental folk rockers Akron/Family on July 12th, plus plenty more local acts. A few other highlights include a 20th anniversary screening of cult classic Dazed and Confused on June 14th, a performance of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night on July 27th and for those with the kiddies, the awesome-looking interactive ribbon weaving art show Tangle from June 7th to 9th.
Reservations are suggested, but not required; to RSVP or check out the full lineup of events, visit the festival's EventBrite page here.—Danielle Directo-Meston
