The Los Angeles Fashion District in Downtown is a magical place. Spanning 100 blocks of retail and wholesale vendors, showrooms and garment factories, West Coast's apparel industry hub is brimming with hidden gems, from budget-friendly Santee Alley to sample sale-happy Cooper Design Space. Unless you're a frequent visitor, navigating the district can be pretty overwhelming (and downright exhausting on the parking front), which is why this new mobile app is a must-download.
Launched by the LA Fashion District Business Improvement District (BID), the app offers six services to help you get around town, including a business finder with over 50 destinations, a geolocation-powered parking spot locator near the businesses you want to visit, a parking spot saver so you know where your car is, a signage cheat sheet and a link to the district's website, which is just as resourceful.
Download the free app for iPhone here and stay tuned for the Android release.
