LA BREA— West LA's La Brea Avenue shopping stretch is launching a Summer Block Party Series. This Saturday from 4 to 7pm, boutiques, cafes and galleries on La Brea Avenue between 1st and 2nd Street will host in-store events featuring discount deals, drinks, music and giveaways. Participating shops include top home decor retailers A+R and Shelter Half. The next block parties in the series will be held on the third Saturday of July and August. [District La Brea]

MISSION VIEJO— If you're in the market for a new bikini for this summer, Vitamin A's swim trunk show is the place to go. This Saturday from noon to 5pm at Everything But Water at the shops at Mission Viejo, the bikini brand will be giving out exclusive gifts with purchase, hosting a swimsuit and cover up giveaway and offering personal fittings with the label's designer Amahlia Stevens.
