Back in 2006, Daniel Edwards shook the world when he released this (NSFW) sculpture of Britney Spears giving birth on a bearskin rug. Seven years later, the LA artist is set to unveil another controversial work inspired by another controversial figure in pop culture: Kim Kardashian.
As part of his "Celebrity Baby Boomer" series, on June 5th at 11am Edwards will debut a life-size nude and pregnant sculpture of Kim K at Lab Art Gallery's La Brea location. A release notes that the mom-to-be's belly will be "fully accessible for gallery-goers to rub for good luck."
To complement this mindblowing salute, the "L.A. Fertility" exhibit will also feature bronze, angel-winged fetus sculptures of Baby Kimye and the Royal Baby together, which is cleverly titled "Womb Mates." Given that Kim and Kanye love to put on a show, something tells us that they'll actually be into this.
