Is this real life? The last few days have been filled with more major retail announcements than we (and our wallets) know what to do with. Here's another for the books: British footwear brand Dr. Martens just announced the debut of its first owned retail store in LA, located at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica.

WWD adds that the 1,500-square-foot store space, which welcomes guest with a massive combat boot above the entry door, was designed to "reflect the brand's manufacturing history, as well as the craft of bootmaking." Inside you'll find a variety of top-notch footwear, apparel, accessories and exclusive in-store items.
