Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Eastside gents looking for a dedicated fashion fix no longer have to trek West to Mattison or Douglas Fir. The brilliant folks over at Mohawk General Store have just opened Mohawk Man—an exclusive men's boutique and art gallery two doors down from their Silver Lake digs.
In addition to showcasing cool works by artists like Nicholas Cope, the new shop carries a globally curated selection of men's apparel and accessories. Brand highlights include Our Legacy, Dries van Noten, Engineered Garments, Arpenteur, nonnative, Aspei, MHL by Margaret Howell and Gitman Brothers Vintage. To keep things separate, all of Mohawk General's existing men's goods will migrate to the new space.
Take a tour of the store in our gallery and stop by the shop this Thursday night from 6 to 9pm for the official opening party.
