Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Today's pick comes from Racked interim editorial director Leslie Price.
iPhone cases, $35 each at Society6
If you are the type that enjoys new Apple products, chances are that one, you've amassed a sizable gadget graveyard (what to do with those Nanos?) and that two, you have a bunch of shiny devices that need protecting.
That's the business of Society6, a Cali-based site whose incredible library houses work from thousands of artists around the world. Their affordable designs can be purchased as iPhone cases (which are $35 a pop), iPad covers, and Macbook skins, and even stretched on canvas. The site offers all sorts of patterns, from girly to ethnic to nature-inspired to classics like chevron and stripes. There's also a whole "animals" section, plus photography and typography. I'm particularly fond of the abstract section and am the owner of Cloudscape by an artist that goes by tchmo.
