Cool news for art buffs in under-art-and-film-served communities. Our sister site Curbed LA reveals that LACMA is setting up five-week pop-ups in Redlands, San Bernardino, Altadena, Monterey Park, Hacienda Heights, Montebello, Compton, Inglewood, and Torrance through its LACMA9 Art + Film Lab initiative. Starting June 7 in Redlands, each lab will offer complimentary programming, "including hands-on art and filmmaking workshops, weekly outdoor film screenings, and the gathering of oral histories from community members.
