Wildfox designer Kimberley Gordon's current loves are always reflected in her lookbook spreads, channeling inspiration from the movie Clueless, pin-ups of the '50s and various other cultural touchstones. Last week, the brand unveiled another inspired shoot, this time for its dreamy pre-fall 2013 collection. Aptly titled "Into the Wild" and shot by Lauren Ward, the lookbook sends model Daria Pleggenkuhle on a chic camping trip through California's picturesque natural backdrops.
The idea for the collection came from a recent trip to Joshua Tree, which triggered some serious nostalgia in designer Kimberley Gordon. She explains on her blog, "It made me think of my summers camping in high school...It's a magical experience and one I attribute to California. I don't think the magic will ever leave me." The collection, which hits stores in June, showcases a glamorous take on typical camping attire and includes a galactic-printed maxi dress, a floaty kimono top and a dramatically slouchy fleece-lined vest.
