Kendall and Kylie Jenner Love the Olsen Twins, American Apparel

It's safe to say that Kendall and Kylie Jenner are blessed in a few ways. First off, they basically won the genetic lottery—both have modeled and Kendall, in person, is as tall and svelte as any catwalker (Kylie's a bit shorter). And the sisters were also born into the sort of wealth and fame that brings with it endless possibilities. Like a chance to explore their love of fashion through a collaboration with teen-friendly retailer PacSun, which has resulted in a newly-launched collection of summer-friendly shorts, dresses, tops, swimwear and accessories.

The line, which was created in concert with a PacSun designer, hit stores and the retailer's website on Saturday. Racked caught up with the sisters at their launch event/fan meet-and-greet at PacSun's Third Street Promenade store to talk about what they like to wear, who they idolize and what they want to do when they grow up.

How did this collaboration come about?
Kendall: "We've always been into fashion, but when PacSun came to us with the opportunity it just fit really well. We wanted to go, of course, more casual. We didn't want this to be our red carpet look or something extremely high-fashion."

Why the interest in fashion design?
Kylie: "Growing up with our older sisters, we've always been interested in fashion. Watching their line and the whole process really inspired and intrigued us."

Who are your style icons?
Kylie: "Again, my sisters, my family, the Olsen twins—I'm obsessed with them, I still love their style—Miley Cyrus is, to this day, an amazing style icon."
Kendall: "Same. Anything you ask us, [the answer is] going to be the same from both of us."

Do you remember your first big designer purchase?
Kendall: "Maybe Louboutins?"
Kylie: "We always got hand-me-downs from our siblings that were pretty incredible."

When you grow up, do you see yourselves continuing to pursue a career in the fashion industry?
Kendall: "For sure, we both want to stay in fashion and continue with PacSun. We're having a lot of fun with it...She [gesturing to Kylie] really enjoys it."

Where do you like to shop in LA?
Kendall: "We like to shop everywhere."
Kylie: "I love American Apparel. We shop such a variety of stores. We'll go into thrift shops and then we'll also go into Ron Herman or Barneys. It's endless."

What designers do you guys like?
Kendall: "Like she said before, the Olsen twins and their line."
Kylie: "I love Nicole Richie's line House of Harlow. Her jewelry and shoes are amazing, too. And Givenchy and Balenciaga."

Who do you picture wearing your clothes and who is your dream client?
Kendall: "I don't know. Our line is very different and it's very casual, you wouldn't see this on a red carpet."
Kylie: "Other teens in the spotlight that are our age. That would be really cool to see."

Do your parents ever tell you to go change or to dress differently?
Kylie: "My dad will joke about it. He'll be like, 'Pull your skirt down!' and it won't even be that short. My mom loves everything we put on, she always thinks we look great."
