What better way to dress up a basic tee than by popping on a hair accessory? That must been the thinking at T-shirt shop Splendid, who has teamed up with accessories brand Ban.do on a series of "Tee" parties. Yesterday afternoon, the first kicked off at the Splendid store on Robertson. Held right after work (aka prime shopping time), the in-store bash offered select Splendid tees at buy one get one half off and guests were encouraged to pick up a free Ban.do pom pom with their new knits. Nearby, a snack table was covered with mini-burgers, macaroons and popcorn while staffers were proffering Splendid "Honestinis" for ladies that were just there to party. A photobooth featuring a backdrop of Ban.do pom poms rounded out the LA party essentials.
The brands released a video earlier this week with pointers on styling a Ban.do pom pom with Splendid pieces, but for those that missed it, Ban.do ladies Jen Gotch and Kelly Edmonson were on-hand to offer pointers. Yesterday's event was the first of several to hit Splendid stores: next up is San Jose, Palo Alto and Skokie, Illinois.
