Céline Quietly Opens on Rodeo

After a long hiatus and nearly a year of anticipation, Céline has finally said bonjour again to Beverly Hills. WWD reports that, after approximately 17 years off the luxury shopping stretch, the famed French fashion house opened its 3,100-square-foot boutique at 319 North Rodeo Drive this past Saturday.

As far as decor goes, the fashion trade journal notes that the design "adheres to Céline creative director Phoebe Philo's minimalist aesthetic with sparse decoration; a narrow interior palette of mostly whites, grays and beiges, and a highly edited display of merchandise." A seafoam-hued divider separates ready-to-wear and bags in the front and footwear with more ready-to-wear in the back.

While one would expect fireworks or some sort of elaborate velvet rope ceremony for the cult-worthy shop's grand unveiling, Philo kept things rather hush-hush since her Phantom bags and Luggage totes pretty much sell themselves. We suggest beelining there today if you want to get your hands on these hot-ticket items before style bloggers do.
