Introducing Natalie Alcala, Racked LA's New Editor

Mark Leibowitz/Glamour

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

After a year and a half of writing and reporting for Racked LA as the site's associate editor, Natalie Alcala officially begins today as the new editor of Racked LA.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Natalie is incredibly tuned-in to the local fashion and retail scene. During her time at Racked, she's introduced a score of up-and-coming designers, covered happenings at Coachella and LAFW, interviewed top tastemakers and generally proved that Los Angeles fashion goes beyond red carpets and Kardashians. Before Racked, Natalie was a freelance writer for a variety of fashion pubs including BlackBook, Bullett, Elle, Vogue and style.com.

Of course, keeping up-to-date on LA's crazed shopping scene is not a one-person task and we rely on your eyes on the street to keep us posted. The tipline, la@racked.com, is always open.
