We're taking you on a roadtrip to weekend hotspot Manhattan Beach where leading, global footwear brand Skechers has not one, not two, but three buildings filled with hundreds of stylish employees. Their newest spot is just over two years old and houses everyone from the sales team to trend forecasters and even has its own, impressive photography studio. Here, meet the crew that kicks it daily at the Skechers HQ and see what they're wearing on-duty.
Lindsey Clarke, creative director: "I have become really eclectic over the past few years. But most days I feel a bit like a rocker tomboy."
Style advice: "Always be true to yourself!"
LA hidden treasures: "I am obsessed with the jewelry at Satine. I also love Kelly Cole. It's the place to go for vintage tees. Or, if you're addicted to your iPhone like me, download the Revolve Clothing app."
Closet must-have: "My Burberry Prorsum cropped trench coat with black leather sleeves. It's edgy but cozy and I always feel great in it. It's easy to throw on with anything!"
Lindsey is wearing a Vena Cava Mexico tee, Gryphon New York crop jacket, The Row leather leggings, Giles and Bro ring, vintage rose gold Rolex, and BOBS from Skechers.
Billy Dill, designer: "I try to keep it simple and classic (white, black, navy, gray) with a style 'flourish' to keep it current."
Style advice: "Dress age appropriate, be comfortable and let your clothes show your personality—don't dress like a mountain climber if you don't climb mountains."
LA hidden treasures: "The ping-pong table at Chateau Marmont and the Feal Mor shop in Silverlake, where you can find everything from awesome ceramics, kid's gear, artisan surfboards AND get your butt kicked at foosball under one roof. Also, InspirationLA in Long Beach once a year is great for vintage finds."
Closet must-have: "My Agnes B. red beanies—100% cotton—so they're LA climate appropriate. I have been rocking them for as long as I can remember."
Billy is wearing a Steven Alan sweartshirt, Journal Standard button-up, A.P.C. New Standard jeans, Skechers On the GO, and of course an Agnes B. beanie.
Cara Cutler, designer: "My style is classic schoolboy with a global influence."
Style advice: "Choose silhouettes that you know work with your body type. Play up print, color and texture within those silhouettes. Also, you gotta have at least one great pair of jeans that you can wear for years and years. The more worn in, the better."
LA hidden treasures: "The garden department at Home Depot on an early Saturday morning. I like to be the first one there and take in all the smells, textures, and colors of the freshly watered plants and flowers. Silly, but true. I leave feeling relaxed and refreshed and ready for the weekend."
Closet must-have: "My worn, worn, worn 'Big E' Levi's and a wide brimmed hat."
Cara is wearing an Isabel Marant dress, scarf she found at Target, and BOBS from Skechers.
Caron Kort, product developer: "My style is a compilation of all the phases I went through growing up. I'm a bit urban bohemian with a splash of preppy punk. I like to mix the unexpected and I love layers and textures. Most of my pieces have a story. I have inherited my fashion sense and many beautiful pieces from my mother, father and grandparents."
Style Advice: "Don't spend a lot of money on trendy pieces. Save for classic items that you'll wear throughout the season and seasons to come. Wear what works for you, what's in your heart, trendy or not. If you wear what you like, then you'll set the trends not follow them."
LA hidden treasures: "LA Café. Great food. Great energy. Great people watching—super-fashionable people, very inspiring."
Closet must-have: "A peacoat my mother purchased in France when she was 19."
Caron is wearing a vintage dress, Marc Jacobs jacket, vintage Judith Leiber belt that belonged to her grandmother, Alexander McQueen twin skulls ring and vintage Skechers.
Jessica Baruch, product strategist: "[My style] is classic, bohemian, vintage. I like to mix it up depending on my mood."
Style advice: "Wear what you like and what turns you on. Fashion for me is personal. I just wear what I love and what makes me feel good."
LA hidden treasures: "Flea markets are my favorite weekend activity. I like to hunt for hidden treasures."
Closet must-have: "I love jackets! They are my go-to everyday. I have a serious collection from vintage to modern. But when it comes down to it, I could not live without my classic black leather Isabel Marant jacket."
Jessica is wearing a Kain tee, vintage Christian Lacroix jacket, AG jeans, a necklace she found at a flea market, and Skechers.
