Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere has quickly ascended the ranks of style/interiors bloggers with a stream of carefully-curated glimpses into her wardrobe, her home, her kitchen and her beauty cabinet. It's an ultra-girly existence, documented with almost all blemishes buffed away.
Recently, Schuman opened the doors to her spotless house to Style Me Pretty, who shot the writer in the classic "I'm a blogger" pose (behind a shiny silver Mac, fingers atop the keybord) as well her office, kitchen, living room, closet, bedroom and more—for serious Cupcakes fans, there are six pages of photos. In an accompanying interview, the blonde mogul shares some advice for aspiring types ("be patient with your goals") and one of her career regrets ("[trying] to do everything on my own"). We also learn that both Schuman and her husband work from home, and that at some point, she was part of a branding deals gone awry. "Don't think a deal is done, just because someone says so," she cautions. "Until contracts are signed on both sides, you can't celebrate, and even then, things can always change."
