LACMA is still having a fashion moment. Following a saintly collab with Rodarte and organized talks with Vogue's Grace Coddington and Belgian designer Walter van Beirendonck, the museum presents the second installment of its Wear LACMA project.
Launched last fall with Johnson Hartig of Libertine and Gregory Parkinson (check out his dress above), the project showcases limited-edition, shoppable pieces inspired by works in the museum's permanent collection. Clever, right?
Spring 2013's capsule includes a fresh floral scent by fragrance designer Haley Alexander van Oosten of L'Oeil du Vert, two leather pouchettes crafted by Maryam and Marjan Malakpour of NewbarK, and gold and bronze jewelry designed by CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Juan Carlos Obando. Pieces can be purchased at the LACMA store and online starting April 25th, with all proceeds benefitting the museum.
