I'm always a bit skeptical when a celebrity comes out with a cosmetics line—did they just slap their name on the label for some dollars?—but Salma Hayek has won me over with her new beauty brand, Nuance.

I came across it when I was visiting my parents in rural Pennsylvania and had forgotten my conditioner. (CVS was my only option.) The bottle was pretty and it smelled good, so I grabbed it and hoped for the best. Not only was the scent even better when I actually used the product, but it made my very long, very thick, colored and highlighted hair super soft and shiny. It's called Age Therapy, but don't let the name scare you if you're a youngster. If your hair is colored, thin, or tends to get tangly, you can't go wrong. It contains flax seed, pea extract and something called tepezcohuite, which is apparently a plant from Mexico and Brazil that helps out thinning hair. That mysterious combination equals something I wish Ms. Hayek would bottle as a perfume. And it's less than 10 bucks.
