Did you know that Gwyneth Paltrow had a soft spot in her heart for Santa Barbara? The actress/cookbook author dedicates today's edition of her e-newsletter Goop to the city, revealing that she just spent Easter weekend there and also called it home during her collage years.

For lodging, Gwyn recommends the San Ysidro Ranch (where she got married), the yurts at El Capitan and newly re-opened hotel El Encanto. She suggests dining at Italian spot Pane e Vino, fish shack Brophy Brothers and taco spot La Super Rica. Gwyneth being Gwyneth, there are also options listed for shopping and fitness. She says that B Boutique is the place to go for organic spray tans, facials and swimwear; that Yasa Yoga has classes for all types of yoga practitioners; and that her family loved the climbing wall at Santa Barbara rock gym.
