The blow dry bar has evolved: Meet Assembly, LA's newest salon for finishing services and our city's first braid and ponytail bar. The 1,250-foot shop, which is airy, bright and cleanly decorated in shades of white and red, opened its doors to clients this morning.
Though the menu focuses on updos, Assembly also offers blowouts (for $35, which includes your shampoo), scalp massages ($10), makeup ($40 for a full face, $15 for lashes or airbrushing) and nail care (a mani/pedi is $32). They've chosen to stock and use only cruelty-free and non-toxic products, which includes Kevin Murphy hair potions, Becca cosmetics and Zoya polishes.
Assembly's selection of braid and pony options are curated by Jacqueline Bush, a celebrity hairstylist who has tended the heads of Clémence Poésy, Jessica Seinfeld, Faith Hill and others. Her current inspirations, which are available for Assembly customers, include Sienna Miller's crown braid, Lucy Liu's fishtale braid and Jennifer Lawrence's sidesweep. You can take a look at all the options here and book appointments by calling (424) 278-1567.
