Last Thursday at Vibiana in Downtown, Style Fashion Week hosted Madisonpark Collective's fall 2013 extravaganza. Designer Trey Alligood III's earthy range of men's and women's looks was complemented by choreographed dance sequences and a soundtrack that ranged from Depeche Mode to Britney Spears.
Dance interludes are becoming somewhat of a tradition for the line's shows; the LA-based label's spring runway featured a breakout routine set to Michael Jackson. As for this season's gear, Alligood paid strict attention to fabric quality by incorporating selvedge denim, 100% organic cotton, cashmere and lambskin leather sourced from Japan. Women's standouts included a houndstooth trench, a military green cape, a classic peacoat with sleek gold buttons, and a mustard-hued coat, which was styled with Jeffrey Campbell's notorious Lita heels.
For men, shawl collar and cable knit sweaters dominated, as did a series of structured leather jackets and hoodies with sweatpants, which we're going to call public pajamas. Click through our gallery for show highlights; shop Madisonpark at Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Ron Herman, General Quarters on La Brea and the Blue Jeans Bar in Santa Monica.
