Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

Leslie Christen is one of Orange County's most sought-after personal stylists. She's also the exclusive stylist/personal shopper to The St. Regis Monarch Beach and is a fashion editor for the popular Orange County e-newletter, Greer's OC, where she writes a weekly "Wear to Where" column. Here, she points us towards Guild, her favorite shopping destination in Venice.

I recently stumbled upon Guild, but when I say "stumbled," it wasn't a fall-on-your-face-and-cry thing, but more of a stumble mixed with a roll and finished with air splits. An unexpected treat in a smattering of boutiques lining Abbot Kinney, I was overjoyed that Guild offered up more of a ready-to-wear gallery vibe than its run-of-the-mill neighbors. It's no surprise since it's flanked with obscure but coveted labels like Greg Lauren, Ann Demeulemeester, Haider Ackermann, Helmut Lang and Rick Owens. Owner Christopher Rosen has an amazing eye for style and offers the most cutting edge pieces with extremely high design. This is definitely my go-to place for anything uber-chic.
