Skrillex is the second highest paid DJ in the world. At just 25 years old, the LA-born dubstep impresario has won a total of six Grammy Awards and, according to Forbes, racked in a whopping $15 million in earnings last year alone. Besides being a beat junkie, the kid also loves to draw, which is what led him to collab with premium denim label, G-Star.
Following the launch of G-Star's "The Art of RAW" video campaign with music by the producer wunderkind, the brand unveils a limited-edition version of its G-Star Elwood designed by Skrillex called the Illwood. The unisex style features simulated leather trims, mesh lining and the artist's inside illustrations of sea creatures.
"We collaborated with Skrillex because he was a real fan and wearer of G-Star's signature 3D pant, Elwood, and we see Skrillex as a modern digital native pioneering DJ innovation in music," says G-Star's global brand director, Shubhankar Ray. "He reflects our brand DNA as a confident and pure innovator who is for the new generation of youth culture."
If you're looking to channel your inner Skrillex sans side shave, cop the style when it hits G-Star stores worldwide on March 15th.
