Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

With over a decade each in the fashion and retail industry, Sivan Ayla Vardi and Stephanie Jenkins always shared a love for fashion. The two met in college while in retail and continued their working relationship and friendship as their fashion careers stayed intertwined. After seeing a gap in the marketplace between the wearable styles of fashion blogs and consumer purchasing, the two came up with a new way to shop their blog, Styled By NOIR. Here, they share their favorite one-stop-shop in Silver Lake for birthday gifts and more.

We love going to Silver Lake to shop around and get some lunch, it's such a fun area. One of our favorite hidden gems is Lake. It's our ultimate shopping destination since it has many of our favorite clothing lines and irresistible home décor. Two birds, one store. It's the perfect spot to stop at on the way to a birthday party to grab a gift and an accessory to make your outfit. They have everything from candles to amazing throw rugs, as well as amazing designers in both the clothing and accessories areas. Let's just say that we could get lost in this store for a very long time!
