To celebrate the debut collection of actress and professional dancer Julianne Hough's shoe collection for Sole Society, the e-shop and Nordstrom came together on a swanky soiree that took place last night at Mid-City drinks haunt Mixology 101. In a white hot Paule Ka ensemble, Hough arrived just as the party was getting into full swing and graciously posed for pictures with fans while guests chatted each other up amongst cocktails and small bites.
Gorgeous bouquets of white roses and lilies from theBouqs.com were scattered throughout the bar while a table displayed all five designs from Hough's debut collection, which ranges from T-strap ballet flats to edgy heels. Hough, who was first introduced to the shoe line on the set of her upcoming movie Safe Haven, said she wanted to be sure to offer variety in her own collection. "Anybody that knows me knows that I change my style depending on what mood I'm in," she explained. "[And] comfort. I also want to make sure that my foot looks really sexy?I always want the body to look good with the shoes and I want them to pop."
With a new collection being released monthly, Hough is focused on keeping her designs fun and sassy. Shoppers can look forward to her go-to style, the Giselle, which is slated for a March release. "It's a patent leather heel with a pointy toe and a strap around the ankle," the actress turned shoe designer described. "It's a nude, classic pump that's perfect for everybody."
After the event, guests were invited to Pacific Theaters next door for an advanced screening of Hough's tearjerker film, Safe Haven. Interested shoppers can find the Julianne Hough for Sole Society collection at Nordstrom as well as SoleSociety.com.
