Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Jenna Hipp is one of Hollywood's most celebrated green nail stylists and with clients like Amy Adams, Lea Michele and Miley Cyrus, she keeps a tight schedule during awards season. Hipp, who works primarily in print, had her first on-set experience as a model at age 15. Growing up in Maui, Hipp always knew she wanted to be in the beauty industry. After moving to LA and apprenticing under manicurist Lisa Postma on set, she knew she had found her niche.

Not long after working with the market's nail products, Hipp started having severe allergic reactions that couldn't be ignored. She then made it her mission to become as green as possible. "I can't be involved with an industry that is making all these people sick," she explained. "They don't even have to list the ingredients on the label." Hipp partnered with RGB to create the first polish that is five-free, meaning it has removed five of the main carcinogenic products.

Racked grabbed a few juices and headed to the nail stylist's studio, Space 905, where she was prepping to shoot the campaign for her latest venture, a collaborative line of nail wraps with NCLA and her agency, Nailing Hollywood. There we talked food, cartoons and celebrity doppelgängers.

What are you drinking today?
"Oh my gosh! It's the best thing I've ever had in my life! I don't know how to explain it. It's The Green Manna [from Liquid Juice Bar] and I added cinnamon."

Who's your favorite cartoon character?
"Pink Panther. Call my phone right now, that's my ringtone!"

MAC or PC?
"MAC. Don't even say the other word around here!"

What's your favorite movie ever?
"Auntie Mame."

8AM or 8PM?
"5AM."

What's the best meal you've ever had in LA?
"There is this restaurant at The Grove, and because I am gluten-free I can't really eat any of the specials because they bread everything with breading. At this restaurant, it's called Marmalade, they made this fish that was encrusted with tapioca crust instead of breading and it was garlicy and breaded and crispy on the outside; so, for me to have something like that was beyond. It wasn't the fanciest place but because they went the extra mile to say, 'Hey, I'm going to make this gluten-free so everybody will be able to enjoy this,' and it was literally the best thing I've ever had. We went back all the time for it. They don't have it anymore."

Brad Pitt or George Clooney?
"Brad Pitt."

What's one song that you wish would go away?
"Poker Face."

Have you ever been told you have a celebrity doppelgänger?
"I always get Suzanne Summers and when my hair was short, I got Meg Ryan all the time."

If you had a week off work what would you do?
"I would be with my family by the beach, somewhere warm. Anywhere warm!"

What is one piece in your wardrobe that you would be lost without?
"My blazer, it's very important to me. It's ZARA and it's coming apart. It has been very loved. I need to get some more to love. My blazer makes me feel better."

Describe the perfect Sunday evening.
"At home with my husband and my dogs and my family and we're just making dinner and watching a movie. It's the best. Isn't that everybody's favorite?"

Hip-Hop or indie?
"Indie."

What's the last thing you do before you leave your house in the morning?
"Forget something and go back. I'll forget my water bottle, I'll forget my garage door opener, I'll forget my keys. I forget something no matter what, it never fails."

What chore do you hate doing?
"Grocery shopping, it's so bad."

Do you have a style icon?
"I think I'm just exposed to so much fashion and so much diversity that I just try to take a little bit of everything and put it into something that makes sense to me. I appreciate so many styles and I feel really lucky to see so many things, things that are flown in from Italy just for us to shoot it for two hours and then send it back. I really get to see and be up close to works of art."

Countryside or city life?
"Countryside."

Describe your personal style.
"Comfortable professional."

What is the meaning of life?
"To be happy and get what you want out of life, while helping others achieve the same thing."

NCLAxNH nail wraps will be available at ShopNCLA.com on February 18th.
