The Mondrian LA has just added to its fashion options with a new boutique. Located in the hotel's recently renovated lobby, Base Mondrian is stocked with locally and internationally sourced goods for travelers and casual shoppers.

Aside from carrying the essentials, the store features Downtown LA-based Apolis apparel and accessories, Porter bags from Japan, Melissa shoes from Brazil, Loyal Dean's handcrafted skateboards, luxe jewels from Italian brand Iosselliani and urban sportswear by LA-based Australian designer Daniel Patrick, to name a few.

Particularly special is Base's signature fragrance, Sand. Conceived 15 years ago, the perfume is still hand-bottled and a special limited-edition spray version is available exclusively at the Mondrian.—Stephanie Chan
