Los Angeles has more stores than anyone could physically tackle, but somehow we always keep returning to the usual suspects. To break out of the rut, we've asked some local shopping and fashion gurus to provide their hidden retail gems—those unique stores around LA that we might not all know about. Cue the Beatles: We're about to get a little help from our friends.

What's there to know about Mr. Orlando Soria? Let's break it down. He co-stars on HGTV's Secrets From A Stylist, works with clients as an interior decorator and is the founder of Hommemaker, a design and culture blog that is definitely worth bookmarking. The West Hollywood resident tells us why Pepe's Thrift Shop is his favorite place to find affordable home furnishings.
Pepe's Thrift Shop came onto my radar when I started working on an HGTV show called Secrets From A Stylist. Each week, we'd makeover a new family's home which meant that each week, we needed a ton of new furniture on a tight budget. Pepe's Thrift Shop has a great combination of vintage furniture (mostly mid-century) and custom-made furniture. All of it is reasonable so this is the perfect place for a young family starting out or anyone who wants great furniture that isn't terribly expensive. I recently had a client who moved from New York and had no furniture at all. We ended up getting half his furniture from this spot. From dressers and desks to credenzas and dining tables, they kinda got you covered.
